To the ones who cannot see the Light
To the ones who cannot see the Light
I throw to you this line
Take hold and tie it 'round your waist
All you who sink and pine
The One who holds you in His hand
Will also pierce the night
So disdain not the stubborn knot which
On your flesh pulls tight
You wish to stand on solid shores
To see beyond the storm
You pray the Captain turns you back
And extricates this thorn
You take hold of His garment
And with Him sorely plead
To look down in His mercy
And tend now to your need
And when the Eyes that know the storm
Fall down on yours to rest
He leans down to embrace you
And clutch you in His breast
Could it be the Capt's intent
If the boat is His to steer
That all your desperation
Was meant to draw you near?
I throw to you this line
Take hold and tie it 'round your waist
All you who sink and pine
The One who holds you in His hand
Will also pierce the night
So disdain not the stubborn knot which
On your flesh pulls tight
You wish to stand on solid shores
To see beyond the storm
You pray the Captain turns you back
And extricates this thorn
You take hold of His garment
And with Him sorely plead
To look down in His mercy
And tend now to your need
And when the Eyes that know the storm
Fall down on yours to rest
He leans down to embrace you
And clutch you in His breast
Could it be the Capt's intent
If the boat is His to steer
That all your desperation
Was meant to draw you near?
