Seasons

I have been both hearing and learning a lot about seasons recently and the Lord keeps bringing that theme to mind. 2017 has been a year of transition and swiftly changing "seasons" in my life. In January of 2017, I was living in central Illinois and teaching high-school science full time. I was hanging out with family 3-4 nights a week, serving at church, and I saw my husband every weekend. Now in November of 2017, I am a full-time stay-at-home mom in Hawaii. My husband works 80 hours a week and my family is over 4,000 miles away. Having an 8 month old who naps twice a day makes it challenging to "serve" in a traditional sense at church (or at least in the ways I am used to).  As someone who struggles particularly with transitions, I was really nervous for this year and what it would bring. However, God has made this such a sweet time of growth and development. He is really pressing into me this idea that my identity is 100% wrapped up in the person and work of J...
